Alex Ip

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR DIVINITY SCHOOL OF CHUNG CHI COLLEGE CUHK

Alex Ip founded the School of Poverty Caring in 2009, serving as the voluntary principal until 2017. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor (New Testament) in the Divinity School of Chung Chi College CUHK. Before joining the Divinity School, he worked as the General Secretary of the NGO Industrial Evangelistic Fellowship from 2014 to 2017.

Alex has written numerous Chinese books concerning poverty and Christian mission. His monograph A Socio-Rhetorical Interpretation of the Letter to Philemon in Light of the New Institutional Economics was published by Mohr Siebeck in Aug 2017. His major research focus is Economics and New Testament interpretation.
