LOCAL BOARD FOR HOPE INTERNATIONAL IN HONG KONG
Michael’s earliest memory of discovering his heart for the poor was a young child; seeing homeless people in his hometown and asking his earthly father for money to give to them. Since then, he has developed an interest in the intersection between finance, development and the heart of God for those in need. As a teen, he subsequently became interested in international debt, and its impact on the development of nations and since has followed developments in microfinance, anti-human trafficking and more recently the application of technology in these areas.
Michael is part of the local board for HOPE International in Hong Kong and has spent time on several short-term missions around South East Asia. His day job is as a technology specialist in Finance, focusing on new technologies including Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain. He enjoys exploring the potential for change that can be brought about by the intersection of new approaches, technology and the dedication of even a few committed people.
