ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR AT THE DIVINITY SCHOOL OF CHUNG CHI COLLEGE, CHINESE UNIVERSITY OF HONG KONG
Tobias Brandner (ThD University of Zurich, Switzerland) is an Associate Professor at the Divinity School of Chung Chi College, Chinese University of Hong Kong. He teaches history of Western and Asian Christianity (except China), mission studies, and ecumenism. His research focuses on Christian faith and ministry in the context of prison, Christianity in Asia, and Pentecostalism in the Chinese context.
Among his recent publications are the book Beyond the Walls of Separation. An ordained pastor of the Swiss Reformed Church, presently with the Hong Kong Tsung Tsin Mission Church, he has been serving as a prison chaplain since the early 1990s, first in Switzerland and since 1998 in the prisons in Hong Kong. Tobias Brandner has been living and working in the Asian context since 1996, most of it in Hong Kong.
